    FATE

CHIN-SAN LONG, XUE ZIJIANG, LAN ZHIGUI

    curator: Huang Jianpeng

Good things are simply fated to happen. Being able to display my collections of the works of photographers Chin-San Long, Xue Zijiang, Lan Zhigui is an extension of my fated relationship with each one of them. I believe it is also fate that brings these master photographers to the Jimei × Arles International Photography Festival. Chin-San Long is an international legend and one of China’s most important photographers who had his first encounter with Rencontres d'Arles back in 1981. Xue Zijiang is China’s most important landscape photographer. Lan Zhigui is one of China’s most important photographers of Tibet.

These three photographers are extremely important in the history of Chinese photography. I am very proud to present 52 prints of these renowned photographers in the Collector’s Tale program of the third Jimei × Arles International Photography Festival, and for the first time, to show these original and rare works in the international photography circuit. I hope the work of Chin-San Long, Xue Zijiang, and Lan Zhigui will leave you with a lasting and beautiful impression.
