On June 16th, a discussion on the theme of “Shaping the Contemporary Chinese Photography Ecology” was held at the Three Shadows Photography Art Center. As one among a series of activities during the “TEN DIRECTIONS: The 10th Anniversary Exhibition of the Three Shadows Photography Award”, the forum was hosted by Zhang Ren, the China district director of artnet and the publisher of the news Chinese website. Rong Rong, contemporary photographer and the founder of the Three Shadows Photography Art Center , Wang Wei, an art collector, founder of the Light Society Imaging Center and young photographer Chen Zhe participated in the discussion. They focused on the current status of contemporary Chinese photography, discussed about how to shape a sustainable Chinese contemporary photography ecology and how to build it. Guests also shared their industry experience and thoughts with the audience who participated in the event.
