No matter from which point of view, Huang Yiliang is not like a photographer,
He hardly has any posts in the social media; his name hasn‘t been heard in the photography circle; as one of the entrants of the 11th Three Shadows Photography Award, he wore a suit and short hair, looked like a book saler -------- A reader who likes his work but has no chance to see them has to send a photo of the participating artists and ask me,"Which one is Huang Yiliang?"
Reflection
I try to use images to express feelings of anger, depression, anxiety, sadness, empathy, happiness and love. When I use images to express these feelings, I am also resisting and evading something, or embracing something with happiness and empathy at the same time. These are the two sides of how photography processes feelings.
I get to know this world by recording various situations and interacting and making contact with it. At the same time, these recorded situations disembody me; they replace me. I may be able to make a choice to draw on the positive and avoid negative outcomes when I encounter a situation for the second time. I am not afraid of being burnt even if a fire breaks out in front of me. My fear of the unknown world and unknown situations has driven me to reflect and think about my own state.
"Reflection" is a mark of "feeling", and it plays a role in guiding me into the unknown. At the same time, I want to explore the boundaries of humanity in photography and observe their relationship with society through my photos.
