Three Shadows 10th Anniversary Special Exhibition: 40 Years of Chinese Contemporary Photography (1976-2017)

It is quite certain that Chinese contemporary photography has a : 1976/1977 from 40 years ago. But what is also certain is that the concept of contemporary Chinese photography is ever changing, along with social, economic and cultural development in both do:mestic and international realm. According to these changes, 40 Years of Chinese Contemorary Photography has categorized Chinese contemporary photography into four stages: "The Rise of Unofficial Photography (1976-1979)", "New Wave Photography (1980-1989)", "Experimental Photography (1990-2006)", and "The Development of Experimental Photography Organizations (2007-present)".
